MELODY MILLER, aged 77

After an inspirational meeting with President Kennedy whilst still a teenager, she became a trusted aide to all of of the Kennedy family for her entire career.

ISABEL CROOK, aged 107

A missionary in China she converted to communism. She married a spy, served in the war and was imprisoned during the Cultural Revolution.

NOREEN NASH, aged 99

From apple blossom queen to Hollywood star, she was an actress in many B-Movies, but occasionally played alongside superstars.

JOSEPH KITTINGER, aged 94

A test pilot who was involved in space research, he completed the world’s highest skydive. He broke many world records but also became a prisoner of war.

DORIS DERBY, aged 82

At the forefront of the Civil Rights movement, she attended the March on Washington before photographing images of racism and the struggle for equality in the USA.

VENETIA STEVENSON, aged 84

She came from an artistic family and was an actress and a model, known for her beauty She married an actor and a pop star and her daughter inspired a very famous song.

EARL OLD PERSON, aged 92

Chief of the Blackfoot Tribe based in Monana, he was a Scout, a musician and a basketball player and eventually a politician, befriending monarchs and presidents – and fighting for the rights of Native Americans.
